Answering Calls
To answer a regular ringing call, lift the handset and converse. For voice announce calls, ensure that the MIC LED is lit. Adjust the speaker volume as needed and converse, or lift handset to converse.
To answer a call waiting call, replace the handset to disconnect the original call or press Hold and then the hookswitch to converse with the second party while putting the original caller on hold.
Answer Calls Ringing on Another Station
Lift the handset, dial 68 for All Calls, 6* for CO/PBX Line calls or 6 for Night Call Pickup.
If you know at which station the call is ringing, lift your handset, dial 67 and the station of the telephone receiving the call.
To answer a call using a headset, press the Headset key to answer and to hang up.
Placing Calls
Internal Calls
- Lift the handset
- Dial the extension or '0' for the attendant. If programmed, you can press the Feature Access key or One Touch key programmed for Direct Station Select. To directly access a personal voice mailbox, dial 7 after dialing the station number.
- Converse after the tone or wait for a ringing call to be answered.
Automatic Callback
If the station is busy, dial 0 for Automatic callback before hanging up. When your telephone and the busy telephone become idle, your telephone rings. Lift the handset. The call is placed.
Callback Request
If the station is busy, dial # for Callback Request before hanging up. When your telephone and the busy telephone become idle, your telephone displays a Feature LED message. Lift the handset. Dial # to dial the call.
Tone Override
If the station is busy, dial * to send a tone to the busy station. Wait for the party to answer. Note that each time * is pressed a tone is sent. If the called party is speaking in handsfree mode, only a visual indication (*) will be shown on the display.
To answer when you hear a tone override signal, press Hold and converse with the second party.
Voice Override
When calling a busy telephone, dial the Voice Over code 6. To answer a voice override call, press the Hold key, converse with the voice over originator and press Answer key to alternate between parties.
Outside Calls
- Lift the handset.
- Dial the trunk access code or press an idle Outside Line key.
- Dial the phone number.
If dialing the trunk access code returns a busy signal, dial 78 and hang up. When a line is available, your telephone will ring. Lift the handset and place the call.
Redial
- Lift the handset.
- Press the Redial key.
- Dial the last number redial code *.
Station or System Speed Dial
Lift the handset and press the Redial keay and dial the Speed Dial Memory location (Station speed dial 80-99, System speed dial 00-79). Or, press the programmed Feature Access or One Touch key for Station Speed dial.
To scroll through speed dial options, press the SYS or STA keys and press the UP/DOWN softkeys to scroll through all the entries. Or, use the dial pad to enter teh first letter of the desired entry, then dial *. Press UP/DOWN softkeys to scroll. Lift the handset or press the Speaker key or press and idle Outside Line key to place a call to the displayed entry.
Save an outside number for redial
- While on an originating outside call, press the Feature key.
- Dial 9 to store.
- Hang up.
Use the Saved outside number for redial
- Lift the handset.
- Press Redial.
- Dial #.
Automatic Redial
After placing a call to a busy or unanswered outside number,
- Press the Speaker key or hang up.
- Press the Feature key.
- Press the Redial key.
The call is repeatedly dialed until it is answered, canceled, or the maximum number of redial attempts is reached. Press Speaker to cancel.
Placing Calls using Caller ID Information
Press the Directory key until the desired number is displayed then lift the handset. The number is dialed. Stations save the last 50 calls answered with Caller ID information.
Placing calls using account code entry
- With an outside call in progress, press the Feature key.
- Dial 66.
- Dial the Account Code (the outside party will not hear the digits being dialed).
- Press the Feature Key.
Placing a call using forced/verified authorization code:
- Lift the handset.
- Dial the Forced Account access code ____.
- Dial the Forced Account Code _____ .
- Dial the trunk access code and the outside number.
Call Handling
Group Listening
When a call is already in progress via the handset or headset, press the Speaker key. The conversation is heard over the speaker AND the handset or headset. Only the handset or headset may be used to respond. Press Speaker to cancel.
Call Holding
For Exclusive Hold, press Feature and then hold. For Non-Exclusive Hold (calls can be retrieved from any multiline phone with the held line appearance), press Hold.
To retrieve a call on hold, press the flashing line key, or, for internal calls, press the Conf key.
After a specified time, the held call will recall to the original station. At this point, calls on exclusive hold can be retrieved from any station with theh held line appearance.
Call Transfer
- Press the Transfer key.
- Dial the station number or press the programmed DSS key.
- Announce the call (optional).
- Replace the handset.
If the called station is busy, hang up to initiate a camp-on. Unanswered camp-ons and unscreened transfers recall to the attendant telephone. After answering a recall, press Feature key and 86 to transfer the call to the personal voice mailbox of the station number dialed.
To transfer a call directly to a personal voice mailbox, dial 7 after dialing the station number.
Conference Calls
While on a call:
- Press the Conf key.
- Place the second call.
- Announce the conference.
- Press the Conf key to establish the conference.
Repeat to add an additional party. Maximum capacity is 2 outside calls or 3 inside calls.
Call Park
To set call park with a call in progress:
- Press the Transfer key.
- Dial 4*.
- Dial Call Park location 0-9.
- Replace the handset.
To pick up a parked call:
- Lift the handset.
- Dial 4#.
- Dial the Call Park location 0-9.
Paging
- Lift the handset and dial the paging code:
Internal - Dial 51 for All Zones, 52 for Zone A, 53 for Zone B or 54 for Zone C.
External - Dial 59 for all Zones (internal & external), 55 for All Zones, 56 for Zone A, 57 for Zone B or 58 for Zone C. - Make your announcement and replace the handset or wait for the Meet-Me Answer.
To Answer a Meet-Me Page, lift your handset and dial the Meet-Me Answer code - 5* for Internal of 5# for external.
Station Preferences
Background Music
To toggel between on and off, press the Feature key and dial 26.
Call Forwarding and Do Not Disturb
Do Not Disturb:
Press Feature, dial 60 and press Feature. To cancel, press Feature, 69, Feature.
To Forward All Calls:
- Press the Feature key
- Dial 60
- Dial the destination station number or voice mail or trunk access code and outside number and press the Feature key.
The Feature LED will flash when your phone is in Call Forward Mode.
To cancel, press the Feature key, dial 69 and press Feature.
Forward Busy and No Answer Calls:
- Press the Feature key
- Dial 43
- Dial the destination station number or voice mail or trunk access code and outside number and press the Feature key.
To cancel, press Speaker, 44, Speaker.
Display a Cusom Message when your Station is in Do Not Disturb Mode

- Dial # to select a message.
- Dial the return time and date if applicable using MMDD HHMM(24-hour clock).
- Press Feature.
Set Relocation
- Ask the Attendant to turn on the Set Relocation Mode.
- From the new location, press the Speaker key.
- Dial the set relocation code (get this from the Attendant or your installer).
- Dial your station number.
- Dial the station password or station lockout code.
- After the confirmation tone is played, press the Speaker key.
- Ask the Attendant to turn Set Relocation Mode off.
Setting your DISA Password
- Lift the handset.
- Dial the DISA Password set access code ____.
- Dial your DISA ID code ____ . Up to 10 digits may be entered.
- Dial your new DISA password.
- Replace handset.
Station Lockout
To restrict outgoing calls on a station:
- Press Speaker.
- Dial the station lockout set code _____.
- Dial the lockout password again.
- Press Speaker.
To Cancel:
- Press Speaker.
- Dial the station lockout cancel code _____.
- Dial the lockout password again.
- Press Speaker.
Automatic Call Distribution and Uniform Call Distribution
Log On:
- Press Speaker key
- Dial the access code ____.
- Dial 1.
- Press the Speaker key.
Break Mode
Set:
- Press the Speaker key.
- Dial 40.
- Press the Speaker key again.
Cancel:
- Press the Speaker key.
- Dial 42.

Log Off

To change the Lockout Code:
Note: when the lockout code is set for the first time, the station is automatically restricted, so make sure you have the cancel code before proceding.
- Press Speaker.
- Dial the Lockout (Password) Change access code ______.
- Dial the current code.
- Dial the new code.
- Press Speaker again.
The default lockout code is set to 0000000000 (10 zeros). The code may be a maximum of 10 digits. If the code is less than 10 digits, press the Speaker key to finish.

Off-Hook Ringing Volume
- Lift the handset
- Dial 60
- Dial 1
- Press up and down volume keys to set level
- Hang up.
On-Hook Ringing Volume
- Press the speaker key
- Dial 60
- Dial 1

Press up and down volume keys during a call to adjust the handset or speaker volume.
Display Contrast Adjust
When the telephone is idle, use the up and down volume keys to adjust the display contrast.
Resetting Feature LED
Resetting the Feature LED will cancel Call Forward, Do Not Disturb and Callback Request settings.
- Press the Feature key
- Dial 99.
- Press the Feature key again.
Set Station Speed Dial Numbers
- Press the Feature key
- Press the Redial key
- Dial the speed dial location 80-99.
- Dial the trunk access code if necessary
- Dial the number to be stored (up to 24 digits)
- Press the Hold key (if entering a name) and use the dial pad to enter the name of the party (13 letters maximum - use ## for a space)
- Press Feature again.
Note: Press the Redial key to insert a pause, Recall for a hookflash.
Program Station Speed Dial to One Touch Keys
- Press the Feature key.
- Press the Redial key
- Press the One Touch key to be programmed
- Dial 0
- Dial the trunk access code if necessary.
- Dial the telephone number (up to 16 digits)
- Press the Feature key again.

The Electra Elite IPK system offers a variety of Multiline Terminals that are compatible with the system, available in 8-line, 16-line and 32-line capacities and offered as display and non-display terminals. A 2-line non-display Multiline Terminal and a 60-line Attendant Console are also available. The Electra Elite IPK system supports a wide range of additional equipment that can be connected to the system to accommodate individual customer needs.
User Interface
The Electra Elite IPK system offers a choice between the Electra Elite IPK or Dterm® Series i terminals.
Electra Elite IPK terminals are available in black or white: 8-line display or non-display type, 16-line display or non-display type, and 32-line display or non-display type. A 2-line non-display terminal is also available in white. Speakerphones are standard, providing full handsfree operation.
All Electra Elite IPK terminals have a built-in headset jack. The large Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) on the display terminals provides call status data and programming information. The display terminals have four softkeys. For Attendant Positions, up to four Attendant Consoles are available, each providing 48 station and/or outside line assignments and 12 function keys. An SLT Adapter can be used in place of a digital terminal for connecting Single Line Telephones, or similar devices.

Dterm Series i Terminals are available in black or white and duplicate functions of the comparable Electra Elite IPK terminal.
Additional equipment such as: Single Line Telephones, external speakers, voice mail or facsimile machines can be connected to enhance the abilities of the Electra Elite system.
